WSJT-X Improved by Uwe Risse, DG2YCB offers the ability to play sounds for certain criteria, such as hearing a new DXCC, new grid, new continent etc.

My two favorites are alerting me to a new DXCC on Band, and when somebody is responding to me, as per my settings below.
The as-supplied sounds are male (probably the software author?).
These do the job, but I wanted voices that stood out a little more, and created two different sets of female voices, one that is British accent, and the other American.
Here is a back-to-back comparison of two audio file samples “New DXCC on band” and “Calling you”.
Original > English female > American female
Download my sound pack which contains the original male voice, along with the British and American wav files as a zip file: sounds.zip
Unzip into a temporary folder and simply copy/overwrite the existing wav files with the new files.
Keep a copy of these wav files off to one side though, because every time you update WSJT-X improved, the original male voice wav files will be installed.
