Hi everyone,
3.4 Kits are nearly available
At the moment components are being stuck down on the sheets and surely 3.4 is only a week or two away!
I really do apologize, Its been very, very difficult to juggle all of the kits, emails, ordering, family, work etc, etc (I havnt been fishing for 6months )

Very excited to be sending lots of kits worldwide and a possible DUBUS article next edition?

Excellent news Graham.
Keep one aside for me, before sending all those 3.4 kits o/s!

The rapidly approaching Winter Field Day may be too soon, but I expect we will definitely see a lot more microwave activity during the next Spring and Summer Field Days, largely due to your efforts.

Hopefully the initial kit supply phase will settle down, and you will find some time to be fishing again.

Gday Phil I am using the VK2AES Cavity Backed Dipole - Dish Feed

Andy (VK2AES) presented his cavity backed dipole design at Gippstech in 2007, it’s an efficient feed designed for an optimum f/d ratio of 0.35 and is relatively straight forward to construct using copper sheet and copper and brass tubing.

I built the 13cm feed based on Andy’s design and have used it very successfully with a 600 mm prime focus dish

An update from Graham, for those awaiting 3.4 kits...

Hi Adam,
Sorry to all about the extra delay, I didn't expect to be caught up working in Portland for so long (theres been problems on the job, but its done now)
The 3.4 boards are ready to be sent out other than i need to cut up some aluminium for the backings! Very frustrating, its only an hour or so's work (cant do it in portland though)

So at this stage hopefully aluminium next 2 to 5 days.

sorry about the many delays, the 3.4Ghz transverters are finally ready to be sent out!!!

Tests have shown this to be a real good performer, it should have been released much earlier but due to work, familiy comitments ect. ect. its taken a lot longer.

Great news Graham, and absolutely no need to appologise.
We all understand about work and family (as I sit here, killing time, in BNE airport waiting for my outbound flight for work in Korea this week and then on to Indonesia next week).

We all hope you will be able to get out fishing again soon!

If The 3.4 kit is anything like the 2.4 kit, it will "just work".

Highly recommended people - these kits work very well, and are easy to assemble, if you want to give microwaves a go.
