Echoes of Apollo

Post by VK2SWL2 »

I came across this in a newsletter from the Overseas Telecommunications Veterans Association newsletter (I used to work for OTC though hopefully don't quite qualify as a "veteran" yet!). Thought it might be of interest to those into EME.

This year is the 40th anniversary of the Apollo moon landing. There are various activities being planned to commemorate the event with the main stuff happening from 0001UT 27 June. Check out http://echoesofapollo.com/ for more information.

The old Orroral Valley dish (now owned by the University of Tasmania) that was used for communications with Apollo 13 is part of the network that will be online for the day.

The original OTVA article about the event is part way down this page http://www.otva.com/news.php
