The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in America has ignored a court ruling that they must "revisit the BPL rules without further delay, and to comply with the obligations placed on it by the Court."
The impasse highlights the FCC's putative conflict of interest in that they were directed previously to both advocate new technologies as well as determine the rules to regulate them.
The US Court of appeals has publicly given the FCC a hard time over their recalcitrance.
