MICROWAVE ATV - JOHN MOYLE 2009

Post by VK2GG »

Hi Guys,
Jack 2TRF will be at Mt Tomah with HADARC, and I will be at Kulnura near the Bumble hill Trig (33.2516S 151.2807E). We will be trying ATV on 2.4, 5.8 and 10G. I will also have SSB on 2m, 70cm, 23cm, 13cm and possibly 3cm. Any takers?? Matt (2DAG)??? We may finally be able to make 13cm SSB Matt?

Matt,
sorry I didn't answer your post. Great to meet you, and great to get to meet the dairy farmer! My mobile is 0417041915.
I also didn't answer your question re the white boxes, AKA 23ghz outdoor/gunn units. The source was originally from Graham Sommer at Rathmines, who donated a large quantity to Weslakes Amateur Radio club. I grabbed several for Jack & myself, and these guns were used along with Khune down converters to set the very temporary Aust 24Ghz ATV record of 120km. The spare boxes I have used as transverter cases (I have 3 of them!!!)

see you,

Dan GG
