I'm curious, how many QSO's are recorded in your PERSONAL log and how far back does it date? Mine has 153 and the first entry is dated 6/2/07, bearing in mind I have only been licenced since the start of February this year. I bet there are some big numbers out there...

FWIW... here's a summary of my log as @ 05/01/2007# for cycle 23:

Total 20,648

* 6m includes cycle 22 & 23
# yes I need to get it updated as there are an additional two paper log books not entered.
HF cycle 22 in paper log only.

WOW! That's quite a few

All callsigns including VK9 expeditions.

6M about 65000 (60,000 JA's).
It's not the quantity its the quality that counts.
I have a mate in USA (W6BYA) who has 3000 different JA's in the log on 6M.
I tried the same trick and came up about 500 short for all time.
Given he is 13000k from JA thats a pretty remarkable achievment, even the JAs dont have JACC3000.

around the 9,000 figure for 6 meters since 1989... . From memory 1,344 contacts into Europe alone during cycle 23.
about 3,000 JA's in there as well.

Does any other band count?

All bands count, but PERSONAL logs only, not logs from DXpeditions.

I was just curious as to how many QSO's ppl have racked up in their logs.

Back in the good old days when you could work the world at any time of day on any band using just 5 watts and an antenna made of wet string, the then regulatory body saw fit to make the keeping of a log compulsory. All contacts, even those to your mate across the street were required to be logged. I have no idea how many entries are in my old hard bound book that was my log of the time but there were a large number. These days I do not log anf VK contacts unless they are on a rare IOTA or on the 6 2 & 70 bands long haul SSB. and I only log DX contacts if I haven't worked then before or not worked them for a long time. Regular contacts dont get entered.

My computer log dates from 1997 and there are 19609 entries as of today.

I hope that you get to see the the bands like they were in 'good old days' Theo as it really was almost as good as I describe.

Like clockwork, peaking every 11 years.

I only use my electronic (laptop) log book only to log all VHF & UHF contacts only.

And been new to A/R scene I have only clocked up around 183 contacts from 50MHz and higher up the spectrum.

To me working the higher bands is more of a challange out of VK7. You have to get a least +400Km to start with before you get anywhere..... so I only log them.
