No offense about the logger and interactivity of the ewarns list but thousands of hams are out there who are unaware of this facility and we need to run accurate uptodate listings like we have for the past 2 cycles.
If not we are denying people access to data which would even the odds.
Remember that ON4ANT and co run identical loggers and UKSMG have a flow caption that tells of the dx being posted on OH2AQ.
OH2AQ is still the most posted 50 meg logger followed by the 50 MHZ US gadget.
It carries most accurate EU TV heards when the band favours US east coast.
As for rely on Australian E layer mentality to post accurate TV from overseas, I only trust the kiwis and a few VK's to know if there rigs are in USB or LSB.
And as for spectran being utilised, hardly at all in most cases.
I asked BA yesterday.
CH 0 Wagga and Toowoomba OFF in 2013.
re who will be the shining lights?
There are still a couple of old TOOBE linears in VK4 judging by the tuning and Harlows I heard this past week.
One VK4 was 60 db stronger than the bunch when beaming pacific.
And you could hear the blower noise (maybe it was an aircon).
yes the means to predict paths will have to be more sophisticated.
if we rely on ham beacons we will be about two weeks too late.
Updating listing.
This is near to date
