Hello all,
Please look at the attached file.
The interactive table contains 200 single Yagi models.
User input: Sky Temperature, Earth Temperature, Bandwidth, Path Loss, Pin, Receiver NF
I show the importance of SNR of own EME echo signals (instead of G/Ta.).
Of interest are SNR vs G/Ta and SNR vs G/Tsys. The more positive the numbers, the better.
One example of model comparison:
KF2YN BK-7 (L = 2.741m). G/Ta = -8.1 dB/K, G/Tsys = -9.4 dB/K, Echo SNR = -21.8 dB.
DK7ZB-7-UWB (L = 2.780). G/Ta = -12.1 dB/K, G/Tsys = -13.2 dB/K, Echo SNR = -28.7 dB.
KF2YN BK-7 vs DK7ZB-7-UWB:
delta G/Ta = 4 dB, delta G/Tsys = 3.8 dB, delta of Echo SNR = 6.9 dB.
How do you rate this table for choosing an antenna model with EME SNR instead of the G/Ta (ratio of antenna gain to antenna temperature)?
Vladimir, UR5EAZ.
