No problem Steve.... be great to maximise the activity levels (as well as wish for good propagation).
For me and a couple of others, the location at 1,100mASL has been secured... We're now just finalising our plans and will hopefully share in next few days.

Re: 2019 Spring VHF-UHF Field-Day Contest
Trying a home station (QG62mo) this time given I get some antennas up. Will be trying 10, 24 and 47 GHz from the roof if there is sufficient interest and the weather is kind.

Active from Mt Hobbs (just North East of Hobart).
6m, 2m, 70cm, 23cm, 13cm, 9cm and 3cm.
Hopefully we get some good conditions across Bass Strait, so VK3's beam our way

Re: 2019 Spring VHF-UHF Field-Day Contest
Had some fun in the 8-hour/multi-op section today. After a hiatus of a couple of years, VK3UHF is getting back into it. Operators were David VK3QM, Bert VK3TU and me, Chas VK3PY. Being a little under-staffed, we only took gear for the bands 50 MHz to 10 GHz inclusive. We still had heaps of fun. Thanks to all the operators who worked us.
Since our operating period was limited and power demand was modest, we decided to power our station with an optically-coupled thermonuclear reactor, located at a safe distance. We were bathed in a lovely, green glow.

Re: 2019 Spring VHF-UHF Field-Day Contest
G'day Chas, great to work you guys early this arvo. I hear you re a 3yr hiatus. Been there myself in recent months, but finally picking up the mike in recent days, to the point where I forgot how to change bands today on one of the Icom rigs... terrible... but had a good day on the VKCL with only one cockup, thus far... good to see too that the VK3AMZ/VK3ZL fashion influence is working for you...
Cheers,
Cheers,
