FWIW Nob gave me his schedule for Pacific DXP as we were to have have crossed paths at Haneda in Tokyo next week

August 13 2016.

Please inform your friends that I’m going back to Pacific with JA2FJP, Ken.
I believe some VK/ZL DXers still remember my past operations from Pacific in 1990’s
Our destinations are VP6 (Pitcairn), E5 (Rarotonga, South Cook), E6 (Niue), T2 (Tuvalu) and 3D2 (Nadi, Fiji)
with a pair of IC-7300, an IC-706MKⅡ, a 500W linear amplifier and vertical antennas.

Band and Mode 160m to 10m, CW, SSB, RTTY.
On 6M request OK.

I’m happy to inform you that Ken, JA2FJP and I have added 6m single loop antenna in our baggage.
We’ll try 6m from VP6, E5/s, E6 and T2.
A beacon calling “CQ de .......... CALLSIGN K “ on 50.095MHz will be placed and looking for 6m enthusiasts.

Thank you for the info Steve. I need VP6 on both HF and 6M but I don't like the chances on 6m given the current conditions. Might be a goer if it was Dec or Jan.

Thanks steve also after they leave.

VP6, PITCAIRN ISL Uli, DL2AH will be active as VP6AH between September 3 and November 25. Activity in ‘holiday-style’ from 40 to 10 meter using SSB and digital modes. QSL via home call, direct only.

hope to get this all time new one on a few bands and modes i'll be chasing Nob jf2mbf for sure for the cw and rtty.
nic eto see some dx coming back after a lull
