The VK Logger Beacon database is very well supported by people making the effort to spot beacons they hear on the relevant Logger.

VK5 beacon spots

The benefit of an online community database that everyone can contribute updates.


The VKL Repeater database is another matter, and probably won't be around for much longer due to the long term lack of support with updates.

What beacons are currently active here in SA (VHF and Up)

Just putting the finishing touches on some gear for the VHF/UHF Contest...

VK5RLZ has beacons on 1296.452MHz, 2304.452MHz, 3398.452MHz, 5760.452MHz and 10368.452MHz.
These are all located at the water tower on Kettering Road, Elizabeth South - PF95HG71VU (give or take a couple of metres ).
You'd have a good path from Black Road near the intersection with Main South Road - you should hear all of them from there.
There are also the VK5VF beacons on 50.320MHz, 144.450MHz and 432.450MHz at Crafers.
I can't confirm that the 6m beacon is running but I've no reason to think it isn't.

Thanks for that. I wasn't sure what has happened to the 3G last i heard it was going to be taken off air. I will head up the hill later and do some RX testing....
