(an event for those who love homebrew portable radio equipment, outdoors transmitting and QRP operating)

Following previous events, which keep getting better and better, we're doing it again.

A sixth 'QRP by the Bay' gathering will be held on Saturday February 6, 2016 at Chelsea beach, 30km south of Melbourne.

Details are as follows:

Format: Informal gathering. If you can, please bring one item of portable, homebrew or interesting radio or electronic gear (or antenna). And maybe circuits to hand out if relevant. There’s room to set up portable station and tables to display homebrew or other gear.

Date: Saturday February 6, 2016

Time: from 3pm local. Stay as short or long as you like.

Location: Victory Park, Camp St, Chelsea. Grassed area near life saving club.

Food: Feel free to bring nibbles. Option to head off to a nearby restaurant around 6 pm (last time was delicious Peruvian).

Venue, facilities and transport: By the bay 30km south of Melbourne. Grassed areas near water. Free barbecues and shelter if wet. Playground for children. Parking nearby (eg supermarket). PLEASE READ SIGNS TO AVOID A FINE AS TICKETED PARKING IS ALSO NEARBY. Trains every 10 min (Frankston line) or direct buses from Doncaster, Nunawading, Glen Waverley or Springvale (902) every 30 min.

Here's a write-up of our last gathering in November: https://vk3hn.wordpress.com/2015/11/17/ ... mber-2015/
