JT65-HF

Post by VK2ZIW »

Sourceforge has only the Windows EXE file:
But a little digging has Ver 1.0.9 DEBUG saucecode.
Had a little program execution problem, in "// Check dll version".
Running on Fedora 21 x86_64.
Cannot choose Audio Device, uses "Default" - this must be fixed.

So far, so good.

Hi Alan.

I am not sure where you are going with your post - but I am assuming you are trying to get the JT65-HF program up and running.

Only 'if so', why are you not using JT65-HF-HB9HQX, or WSJTX 1.6, both of which are current and supported, on all the major platforms, rather than JT65-HF which is no longer supported by the author (although is open sourced, I admit) due to his major medical issues.

JT65-HF still works fine here on HF, and was long my program of choice, but I now prefer using either of the other two programs noted as they are current and, as I repeat, actively supported by both author's and a group. And both work fine.

However, I could well be inferring something completely at odds with the reason for your post - if so, humble apologies. And 'good luck'.

I just wish people wold standardise on something.
At least WSJT-x allows mode switching instantly on same radio so you can take advantage of e.g.
the wspr signal from N3IZN rx on 6M which if converted would have beena new dx record qso for data on 6M by 4000 km.'

Standardize, it's the protocol we standardize on, not the software.

Please correct me, if I'm wrong, but I didn't find anything for JT65 on Linux
other than WSJT and WSJT-X, so I compiled up JT65-HF, results here:
http://www.unixservice.com.au/hamradio/ ... index.html

I only use Linux machines for my radio work. Exception, radio programming software, QMAC etc..

Alan,

What mode are you trying to run ?

The current version of WSJT-X (1.6.0 RC-2) runs JT65, JT9, JT4, WSPR-2, WSPR-15 and Echo.

JT65-HF-HB9HQX-Edition
I've just downloaded the sourcecode and there's no way to compile on Linux.

So, there's absolutely no way to get it going on a Raspberry Pi.
