SK VK2WY Tony Butler

Post by VK4TS »

Tony Butler's VK2WY key is now silent - although in Tony's case it was more likely the Mike than the key.

Many a repeater in the Tamworth region was created by Tony - with new sites explored and new installations created. He installed the first repeater on Mount Crawney VK2RTM and Bald Hill and many others.

He was a great tech and loved the electronics industry.

Tony was a stalwart of the old annual migration to the Port Macquarie field days - loved the camaraderie and the challenge of the fox hunt.

To his two daughters Kristin and Casey the ham community extends our sorrow at your loss.

There is a guest book at the Northern Daily Leader website; His notice follows
