The VK3RED beacon 144.436 MHz in far East Gippsland has been off air for the past 8 weeks due to no 240v power.
today the power was restored to the beacon cubical and all is now well.

Thanks Ralph. I'll have a look for it tonight when I get home.

Many Thanks Ralph.
I have had a good look tonight but did not hear the beacon or see anything on Spectrum Lab, unfortunately.

This is very unusual as 6 or so months ago I could hear the cw or see the trace most times whenever I looked.
I suspect something has changed either at my end or at the beacon. Remember I used to burden you and Jim with all those vklogger spots.
I can see vk3rgi 2m most times when I look and read the CW when it is strong.

Were you able to verify output power and antenna SWR while you were there please or has someone put a dirty great grill pack in the way! Grin!
Cheers

Gday Rob. Every thing was normal at the site, the only thing was the frequency was about 300Hz high,
with luck it should come down a bit when the temp stabelises. we will see how it goes....

Cheers Ralph.

Just seeing it v. weakly here on Spectran. It's steady at about 390 Hz high.
