Support for Licence Study, Warrnambool.

Post by VK2HRX »

Hi VK3's

A good friend of mine just got back from her second trip to Antarctica this morning. Another trip is on the cards. I've been bugging her to get an Amateur license for a couple of years. Her grandfather had one in VK7 and the gear is still there. I spoke to her today in Hobart & she is keen. I'm not familiar with the club scene in VK3 so don't know where to direct her other than AR Victoria. She has a number of degrees including a PhD in Science, but electronics isn't her forte. Is there any one around in the Warrnambool area who can help?

Please PM me.

Hi Compton,

Value for money you can't beat the RES training courses. Our club doesn't run training courses but does schedule exams on a quarterly basis for those in the region that are studying for their license.

If your friend needs more information she can speak to our training coordinator at the Geelong Amateur Radio Club
