Hi All, From the 18-19 Dec

SSTV, I have a collection of SSTV pictures from the Russian Module on ISS
The Picture Quality is very good for SSTV ( mode PD180) Frequency 145.800

More notes, The gear, a J pole, Masthead pre-amp and a FDK Multi 2000 set to
wide FM

And there is more to come on the 20-21 Dec

I was listening on 2 passes this morning (Sat 20th) with one of them being almost directly overhead and I didn't hear anything from it. Bit of a shame as I have had some nice SSTV images from the ISS in the past.

Cheers
Robert.

Well done Murray!
I setup my IC-7100 and MMSSTV on 145.800 FM attached to a 2m halfwave vertical at 10m and then went to bed.

In the morning I had a single image waiting for me ;-)

Robert, they didn't do it last night. See the link below for details.

They are due to do this again on the weekend.

Man alive. I thought the signal would be relatively strong but just recorded a pass of ISS on 145.8 and it was a massive strength. :o
Now to find an app to display my recording. I hope is a good one as full tx was S9+

Back soon with pic…I hope.

The pass just before dawn here started out at "full scale" on 2m with my FT-817ND plugged into the 6m Yagi ... but faded as it caught nulls in whatever pattern the 6m Yagi has on 2m

Oh well, a bit of fun ...

Most recent pass peaked at 12 deg above horizon. Received 1.5 pictures. This was the best.

Propped a 6 element 2m Yagi up on a B&D 'Workmate' and followed that last pass across the sky to get a better signal. 1 and 3/4 pictures before the ISS set, both "pixel perfect" while it was still visible, but just repeats of those pics already posted by various others above.

According to the web site, that is all?

SSTV transmissions from the International Space Station

The Russian ARISS team plan to activate SSTV from the ISS on Saturday January 31 and on Sunday February 1, 2015.

Expected SSTV mode will be PD180 on 145.800 MHz with 3 minute off periods between transmissions. A total of 12 different photos will be sent during the operational period. This is the second series of pictures to be transmitted.

Start time would be around 10.00 UTC on January 31 and 9.00 UTC on February 1. The transmissions should terminate around 21:30 UTC each day.

Gaston Bertels ON4WF
ARISS-Europe chairman

My calculations it will be Saturday and Sunday night VK/NZ time
