i battled with the IC9100 and WSPR for a long time until I found this software to drive the Cat commands called CTA7200 to RTS using a virtual com port. read about it above..

works a treat on WSPR and other software and the IC9100 ,... it might help others too.. thanks

Thanks for bringing that up Andrew. A bit of rigmarole with the unsigned driver, but I followed the steps on the W's web site and finally got there with Win8. So far tested OK with WSPR on my IC-7600 ... now I have the audio and CI-V PTT via the one USB port from the computer to the radio.

Noted else where others having trouble with 9100 USB cat port.
I found good quality short USB cable helps and others have used a powered USB hub to overcome connection problems.

The ICom remote CAT software seems to work ok with my 9100 after I fixed the USB connection. I just have to work out how to remote it to my Iphone now so I am looking for a APP.
