Arduino based VFO

Post by VK5HP »

Hi all,

I am interested in building the Arduino based VFO Gary Gibson VK8BN that was in this months AR magazine but can't find the file on the WIA web site.

Any clues to where they have hidden it? Have done a search but no luck. }:[

On more than one occasion, I have had to contact the author directly if there is no reference at the end of the article indicating where the files are.

However, Gary has a website with the files:-

http://vk8bn.me/info/arduino/

Click on the blue link on the web page and it will download a zip file.

Hi all,

Look at the November issue page under AR Magazine on the WIA website.
Now available at the bottom of the following page:

Hi Paul

I breadboarded one up from the original AD7C design late last year. There have been a few revisions to software & the blog makes interesting reading

http://www.ad7c.com/projects/ad9850-dds-vfo/

I ended up with an Arduino Nano running the 9851 DDS board to reduce the size so the DDS and CPU boards would fit into a small diecast box.

Does what it is meant to do just haven't finished as the other SDR projects took over! I can bring it to the next tech night if you like

Cheers

Yes, it was MIA initially.

Sorry - paid work pressures got in the way and I simply forgot to upload the files for everyone to download. Fixed it as soon as someone asked me where the files were.....
This one slipped off the to do list for a week or so.

If anyone has a TS-520S and needs a digital display and the ability to read the frequency from the radio via USB.
I stumbled across a project.
I have ordered two boards to fit the Arduino 2009, well I have two TS-520S's
More details on Stephen's KV6O site
http://www.kv6o.com/wordpress/
Check out the Nixie tube option for the display.
He is talking about a DDS VFO project to come along soon.
