Does any one know if New Caledonia, Norfolk or Lord Howe Islands have been worked on 2m, 70cm or 23cm? If not, maybe up-coming VK9 Dxpeditions could be encouraged to take equipment for these bands, but a better approach might be a dedicated group giving it a go during the peak summer E season.
I have heard the FK8 2m repeater several times but could not raise any stations on SSB or CW.

I'll be on Norfolk in a couple of weeks.... I guess a Chinese HT won't be good enough...
