After Mid Jan14 (Java Version 7 Update 51) The Ionogram Viewer application of the Australian IPS will not run unless the site is added to an exception list in Java Configuration/Security.
To add "www.ips.gov.au/HF_Systems/1/3\... to the "Exception Site List", open Java Control Panel: Start/All Programs/Java/ConfigureJava".
Then select the "Security" tab. Press "Edit Site List".
Cut and past or type "www.ips.gov.au/HF_Systems/1/3\... in the "Location" box. Press "Add" then "OK".
Click "OK" to close the configuration window.
Now re-open IPS Ionogram viewer page "http://www.ips.gov.au/HF_Systems/1/3".
JAVA will prompt for permission to run. Acknowledge the risk and run.
All should now be OK.
Some have had problems with cut and paste of the URL name into the add box. Typing although tedious appears to overcome this problem.
