Hi all.
Just some pic's of the VK4WIS/P setup from Howells Knob (QG63JF) We did pretty well with most bands from 6M to 23Cm and on HF but were not so lucky on Microwave and only getting the 6 contacts for the whole weekend.
I enjoyed myself along with the rest of the crew.
Operators were VK4LHD, VK4ALH, VK4RY, VK4WT, VK4IMH, VK4FAAR, VK4VXX and Dave Carr (No Call) with help setting up on the Saturday morning from VK4FMGF.

Hi,

VK3ER/p operated from our usual location at Mt Cowley QF11WK. The weather in VK3 was not particularly conducive to field day operations, so there was a distinct reduction in field day operations around the state.

We scored roughly the same as in previous years, adding a few more CW and Digital contacts than in previous years to compensate for the lack of active stations.

Congratulations to Brian VK5OM/3 who spent the full 24 hours in far west VK3 for not that many qsos.

Best DX for us on VHF/UHF was Leigh VK2KRR on 1.2 Ghz @ 461 kms in rather poor tropo conditions.

Thanks for those home stations that came up and gave us contacts.

A very large weekend for the Redcliffe & Districts Radio Club. We will submit a log for multi-operator 24 hour mixed mode HF. Around 1950 logged contacts, the offerings to the prop gods resulted in 10m being open to the US and Japan for most of the daylight hours. Our full size 20m 3 element beam kept the E and F layers tingling for most of the 24 hours, we now need to rest our CW operators for 12 months in case they develop RSI
