A sampling of 144 MHz signals and contacts from a 2el yagi on Olivers Hill.

Those from VK1BG and VK2EMA were particularly impressive.

Well done Peter, when I first worked you I was running 25 w only but when I worked VK1BG I was running 400w. I was surprised at how well you were hearing the stations on the frequency this morning, many of them I was not hearing much better than you were and I have 12 el at 10 m... best I check a few things out here i think....
Great video by the way. catch you again soon.

Thanks Mike.

I too was amazed at the good receiving results; as indicated on the recording some were struggling with VK2BCC/3.

The antenna setup was extremely compromised. The camera puts out RF noise. The feedline to the antenna was insufficiently long to hold it above my head. And 2 or 3 more elements may be accommodated without too much extra weight.

Fixing all that should give an easy 6dB benefit, which would have made VK2EMA easily workable.

Great video Peter.
Two rabbit's ears - what a good idea!
