JOTA/JOTI Weekend 19 - 20th October 2013

Hi everyone so who will be active during the 56th JOTA/JOTI weekend on the 19 - 20th October 2013?

Our Scout group will be on air:

Malvern Scout Group:
Callsign ZL3MF
We will have 20 Scouts and 15 Venturers staying Saturday night with Kea's and Cubs visiting during the day so it is going to be a very busy weekend :roll:
We will be on 80, 40, 20, 15, 10 and IRLP ZL3TMB 6900 EchoLink, Node No.: 101553
100w HF 50w 2m and 45w 70cm
Myself Ross ZL3ADT and Roger ZL3THQ will be operating over the weekend and will be operating portable from the Malvern Scout Den.

We look forward to catching you all on air over the weekend!!

Forgot to add running a G5RV antenna HF 100w from a IC-706MK2G and other HF and VHF/UHF gear as well all the Scouts and Venturers know their phonetic alphabet AND Q code...YES Q CODE they are very polished and I think you will be impressed with them when you listen to them on air!!
You never know we may have some future Hams....this is what it is all about!!!!

G'Day Mike the Melbourne Electronics Radio Club will be running from the 1st Keilor Scout Hall on the saturday callsign will be VK3FSK
we will be running HF VHF and
UHF on VK3RBW (70CM) (Mt. Gisborne) 438.450Mhz (CTCSS Tone 91.5Hz) IRLP - 6247 EchoLink - 752383

will post up more detail as i get them

Still looking for anyone who will be active during JOTA weekend would love to tee up a sced. Our operating hours are Saturday 19th 0100 GMT to Sunday 0200 GMT

Redcliffe & Districts Radio Club, operating as VK4SMB.

Primarily on 40 and 20m, and IRLP nodes 6404 and 6406, possibly DStar if the local gateway is fixed by then, via REF003C. And Echolink 44666.

Operating from 9AM to 5PM AEST on the Saturday.

We now have antenna mast up at the Scout Den (13m tall) and will be already to go this Saturday...
keep an eye out for us on 80/40/20/15/10 and ECHOLINK (node 101553)

The Fisher's Ghost Amateur Radio Club will be operating VK2SCP from Cataract Scout Park both days. We will be on 80, 40, 20, 15 & 10m.

The Scout Radio & Electronics Service Unit http://www.sresu.asn.au will be on air from the Gilwell Park Scout Camp, 55 km east of Melbourne, using VK3SCG. We will be on 80, 40, 20, 15 & 10m as well as 2m FM.

We will be active from Edinburgh Park Scout Group 20m North Adelaide SA. Using the Call Sign VK5LZ. running a 24hr JOTA station over the UTC Saturday

Planed antennas:
G5RV 80/40/30
2 El Hex Beam 20/17/15/12/10/6
Verticals 2/70 for Local Repeaters

Running 100W SSB, Primary active on 40 and 20m. We will beam towards ZL/ EU LP in the afternoon so we hope to pick you up then Mike
We will also have local repeaters and VK5RSB IRLP Node# 6214

If anyone wants to schedule a contact please email me vk5akh AT wia DOT org DOT au will have email on the day.

Look forward to working some other JOTA stations :D

Hi Andy...awesome, your setup sounds similar to ours!!
Not sure if we will get be able to use the local IRLP repeater as it has a fault and is off air, we will be on ECHOLINK ZL3CAR repeater.

Hi , I will be activating a portable station for guides, senior guides and rangers from a campsite shed at milkers flat, north of bathurst.
ops start at 1pm and will run till dark, not sure about sunday yet
it will be using my callsign vk2jds
80 to 10 metres 100 watts, bushcomm offcentrefed wire, calling on the nominated jota freqs

VK4WID wil be on from midday saturday till after 4 pm with the Highfields Scout Group.
Using 20 mx, 40 mx and IRLP via the local 2 mx repeater (VK4RDD).

Unfortunately, VK2SCP will not be on air this weekend. Due to nearby bushfires, Cataract Scout Park is closed for the weekend.
