Yet another fantastic high pressure cell found its way over the SE of the country around the 2nd - 5th June. It travelled further north again which was interesting. There were some AMAZING inland tropo paths worked over 1000 Km on 2m WSPR and some on SSB voice.
The tropo was very much more northerly.
Also of note again was MUF only really covered the 2m band for me and while some signals were heard on 70cm, it was nothing outstanding.
Highlights for me were -
Port Augusta 2m repeater @ 913 km
Port Pirie 2m repeater @ 867 km
Central North 2m repeater @ 833 km
Broken Hill 2m repeater @ 638 km
Good signals from many of the WSPR stations. Completed a brief 70cm WSPR test with Iain VK5ZD with good result.
Early on Wednesday morning I picked up 72 marine tracking signals out to 844 km from west of Adelaide.
Had good fun just watching people from VK5 getting to VK2XN on 2m WSPR and voice.
