VK9NT Norfolk Island 6m

Post by VK3GK »

Hi Folks
I will be on NI from May 3 until May 13 with 10 other ops for the VK9NT DX-pedition.
http://vk9nt.odxg.org/
We will only have 2 el for 6m on the HF hex beam but it's worth a shot.
Keep in mind that this is mainly a "HF' operation but we will happily operate 6m if conditions allow.

I will post my tel number on logger when i arrive so you can text me for sched, band openings etc etc
Our internet connection may be sporadic.

I considered an FT857 in beacon mode sending our phone number :) with a 6m vertical but we have already gone over our weight allocations. :(
If there is enough interest it may get put back on the agenda.

Your thoughts, interest level please......

Currently i believe there is only one "active ham" on NI and he has 6m capabilities (FT897) but no antenna for 6m.

Cheers Lee

Allan VK2CA will be playing "Hungry Hippos" on our DXpedition. Probably mainly RTTY, but some PSK likely too.

Hi David
I will be loading the netbooks this week with software and will add most digimodes to the list
As Luke suggests main activity will be RTTY but depending on activity one may play "modes" as we will have 4-5 stations running.
