Mini keboard with DIN plug

Post by VK4WDM »

Does anyone know where I can get a mini keyboard with a mini DIN plug that I can use with my K42 keyer? All the ones I can find are USB which don't suit the keyer, and I am not sure whether I can get/use a USB to DIN adaptor.

Cherry (from Germany) have a really nice line of very compact PS/2 keyboards that may be of use.

Expensive new, but exceptionally well built and they go for reasonable prices on fleabay etc occasionally.

you need a ps/2 plug you can get a ps2 to usb converter from dick smith or jaycar or ebay
you can also buy a ps2 to at converter
both of these work on the mfj keyer and should also work on the K42

Hi Wayne,

'Tis the season of goodwill to all men (even VK4's!). I have a USB to PS/2 adaptor here I'm not using. I can post it to you.

Please email me or PM to confirm your address and I'll send it on once the Post Office resumes business.

Hi Rob

Thank you for your generous offer but a local ham has beaten you to it. One should arrive at my door in the next few minutes. :D
