Thought it might be a good idea to start a thread for showcasing the VK6 paths. The main marine tracking thread is getting huge and take to long to find certian things.
Last night and right now there is a great path running north south off the coast of VK6. Alek VK6APK is in quite an amazing spot where he lives, but also last night Phil VK6ADF just north of Perth was hearing similar paths also.
Here is some images of Aleks receptions this morning 18th Nov 2012. Both ends of the path are running only omni directional verticals. Out to approx 2300 km this morning from what I have seen.
Vk6APK past 3 hour map:
And a view up north of probably the furthest vessel heard, complete with the VK6APK reception identifier:
I note that VK6LD logged some distant 2m repeaters on the logger late last night over 1000 km.

Very nice 24 hour map from the VK6APK receive station.
Re: AIS Active Marine Tracking Paths VK6
Conditions up and down the west coast for the past 24 hours have been fantastic for the AIS station on loan operating from my shack.
Furthest distance so far is approx 1200NM up near Indonesia.
