Kenwood TS-590S experiences please

Has any one had any experience with a TS590s - good or bad and what is the view on Kenwood as to in aus support/repair etc.

If you remove the rigs etc made in the USA because the cost of these rigs in VK will make your eyes water, you will find that my favourite rig is second and third.

I have had my TS590 for 18 months and would thouroughly recommend it.Their performance is up with the best radios ojn the market but at a fraction of the cost.Very good receiver on SSB and CW. All filters are included and the DSP is very good.Also they so far have been very reliable radios very few electronic faults reported apart from early models that had problems with a surface mounted fuse.This problem was rectified by Kenwood on subsequent production runs.I looked at all of the mid priced radios that were available and this is the best value for money
