Just noticing some Aurora scattering now on Brian VK5BC and Rob VK5ZRL 160m WSPR signals.
160m AU
160m AU
Notice the signal smearing/spreading about 90 Hz either side of the main 6 Hz signal (only on the WSPR interface).

Just testing with Brian VK5BC on 40m WSPR with signals, me RXing beaming toward the Aurora
40m scattering
40m scattering
You can see, esp on the Spect Lab (red display) where from bottom upward I was beaming toward Aurora, then part way through last transmission I moved the yagi 90 deg to be beaming direct at Brian and the side spread of the signal disappeared and was able to decode then. Also see in the WSPR display when I turned his was the white in the center of his signal indicating signal getting VERY strong.
On the WSPR interfacet at 1140 utc Brian was running 50W you can see wider looking spread on the signal.

Here is a good image showing Aurora scattering/doppler shifting of Hamilton TV signal

I should add that this was taken similar date to Rexs image.

Interesting... what is the software used? I Googled 'Scan Input' with not much success.

Rob good question, we may need vk7mo to answer that. I think I had the program on my old computer, but can't remember what it is. But u can set it to monitor over very long time frames.

I noticed this signal on the WSPR display, it shows evidence of auroral fluttering.
Anyone seen this before ??
Could it be a TV signal ?

Hi Rob, not entirely sure what that is. It doesn't seem to exhibit the characteristic 'spreading' or 'smearing' of auroral activity.

It looks more like a signal source with multiple peaks across the monitored portion of the spectrum that has some weird drift going on. Everything is drifting in sync, albeit at non-linear rates.

Hi Rob,
I have finally figured out what that signal is of the screenshot I posted above.

It is a local warbler sort of signal (data maybe) which tends to drift all over the place
between 50.290 and 50.300. It can be rather frustrating at times as it drifts in and
out of the wspr passband.

It appeared today and I was lucky (or unlucky !) enough to be able to hear it..
