I was sad to hear that today that Bill VK6AS is now a silent key.... He will be sadly missed

Yes Bill will be missed. My last contact with him on 2M was 1Jan09. We had many contacts over the years on 6, 2 and 70, but the most memorable ones were those 1550 odd Km 6m TROPPO contacts, that caused some head scratching amoungst 6M purists.
RIP Bill.
