Hi all....
Have been looking at wspr on 30m the last day or so....when the wind has not be a problem..
Looking at it tonight.....I was being copied by KL7UK ( Alaska Coast) @ -9 and -7 using 5 watts......but was unable to be copied by any West Coast US stations...on the Map there is not a lot of distance between the two...there is plenty of room between -7 and -27 for those US station to get a copy......
The propagation maps suggest the signal should have been getting through.....
VK1UN/1 was also being copied but at -25 using 2w...but was also not hearing or being heard by many east coast US stations...
Any Idea..?

Question on Propagation
Re: Question on Propagation
HI John
Sounds a bit strange, but I cant explain why that would be. Just something to take note of I guess and see if it happens on a regular basis or not.

Re: Question on Propagation
If the stations at the other end are experiencing more noise, from local or regional sources, reception of weak signals would likely be masked by the noise.
