No probs Andy,
I'll send it back. The guys at the club have asked that I bring it along to our next club meeting so they can have a look at the payload.
I promise we won't set it on fire like we do with most club activities. We're mostly technical trouble makers so we like to point fingers at stuff and say "oooooh!"

The scouts asked me if I could repair it and relaunch it. I suggested that "we might send it back to the owner first", they wanted to relaunch it that day :)
That's Gen Y ... they want instant gratification. I didn't tell them that it was possible else I'd never heard the end of it.

We've got a few more pictures of the recovery, and we'll probably put them up on the club facebook page for some laughs.

PS-23 payload #1 has arrived home from sunny NSW, thanks to Trash and the local Scouts!

Second tracker to come home, and the furthest from home, it is ready to fly again.
Trash, let me know when the Scouts are ready to track their balloon :)

Andy

Hi all

Andy...looking at the signal, you have changed from the Original JT65 to JT9....?

Is the timing the same as the original ..ie as in this thread....or have you changed it... The same looking at the 2 decodes I have so far..

This is the 25mW payload ?

Did you manage to get a new supply of Balloons ?

I'll let them know via the grapevine in the next few minutes. :)

The last club meeting was was abuzz with speculation. We've not had something generate so much interest in the club for quite a few months.
We have even managed to think of a commercial applications for them.

Everybody will be watching the sky this weekend.
