Major update to vkspotter

Post by VK2XAX »

Hi all,

Hilary, VK2AZ, has be quietly beavering away to bring us the next major update to vkspotter.com

This is a significant update that brings new and enhanced functionality to the spotter.

We now have chats for HF, 10m, 6m ,2&70, 23cm and above and the ability to turn chat off.

We also can now have spots for HF, 10m and 2.5mm and above.

A comprehensive filtering systems to allow selection of band and mode .

Here is a list of stuff that has changed:

New band and mode filter collapsible panel.
Ability to select and view spots from any band/mode configuration
(includes map display).

Updated history reporting with band and mode selection.

More chat bands, including the ability to switch
off chat (Hi Steve!).

User list (top right) now includes the chat band
user was last viewing.

Filter and chat band saved in browser local
storage so they are remembered when you navigate away and come back.

Because filter and chat band are remembered,
removed "default logger" and other properties from settings page.

Added 10m and "Other" band for frequencies outside
of Amateur Bands (you could even place HF spots in here).

When you add a spot, feedback is provided on success.

Searching for a DX grid now returns all beacon and
repeaters with that call. Selecting one fills out the spot grid and
frequency automatically.

Add Spot frequency is remembered between spots.

cheers

Tim
