Yaesu G-5500 replacement?

I'm considering options for AZ/EL control of yagis.

The Yaesu G-5500 AZ/EL or G-550 (EL only) naturally come to mind.



I contacted a retailer about them and the reply was;

The G-550 and G-5500 are no longer available from Yaesu .
I think they have a new model coming out soon but I'm not sure of the cost or availability.

Has anyone heard any whispers, or know anymore?
I'm reluctant to buy something that is about to become obsolete by something possibly better.
