Re: MAD - Sunday February 24, 2019
At this stage Doug, I believe we've all been scared off. As there was no official notification given, but consensus has resulted in redirecting my time/effort to other activities today. Also believe that to be true of the others, but they need to confirm!
Re: MAD - Sunday February 24, 2019
Thanks Scott for your posting this morning.
Despite the weather now revealing a beautiful morning, based on the likelihood of there not being other stations around (portable or home), I have decided not to make the two-hour drive (each way) down to Kamarun Lookout today.
Instead, if anyone wants to test one or other microwave system today, I am very prepared to go up to Mt Gravatt for such a test. Please e-mail me or ring on 0428191066.
Cheers and 73,

Re: MAD - Sunday February 24, 2019
Well all very disappointing - it has turned into a glorious day, no rain coming and wind is “very modest”. Such a shame after a lot of pre-planning for the MAD by lots of guys.
Anyway I still plan to do something. I have a new 5.7GHz system to test and compare with the existing system. I can get on from home or from a nearby high-spot if anyone is interested otherwise will try a point to point path between the two systems.

Good morning Quentin.
On this outing - I should be leaving for Mt Gravatt in a half hour or so - 5760 will be well catered for. but 3398 will be a 'minimalist' system. Liaise on 146.5 or 146.55 or 439.0 FM simplex.
