This video reviews the definition of SINAD (SIgnal to Noise And DIstortion), and shows how the Sinadder 3 makes the measurement.
The block diagram is reviewed and as well as a quick walk-through of the schematic diagram.
Finally, I demonstrate the basic operation of the Sinadder 3 and how it can be used to help with the alignment of, and check the sensitivity of a common FM receiver (Kenwood TS-231A 2m ham radio).

I've heard the term before, and had an idea what it was about but very interesting to see the test/measurement in practice.

Hi Adam. Strangely enough I happened to have watched this video only yesterday. Most interesting. And he does have one of the best channels on you tube! Second only to Dave Jones's. (EEVBLOG).
