I have always been under the impression that grey conduit was not suitable for r.f. so I have always used white plastic water pipe for antenna projects. I don't know if that's really true as I have never tested it but it might be why the manufacturer used orange conduit.

Anyway an easy way to test the suitability of grey conduit at r.f. would be to place some in a microwave oven (with a glass of water to provide a load to the microwave) run it on high for about 60 seconds and see if the conduit heats up. If it does don't use it for antennas.
