i wonder if we could entice you to have a listen when the contest is going
HI Andrew,
Yes Hepburn looking quite good for the next few days as well as the weekend.
I will be endeavouring to be on air (2M & 70CM), but I have to work this weekend and also rostered on call during the after hours.
Yesterday was a 17-18 hour work day for me. The overtime is good, but some days I just don't want it.
I do hope it isn't that busy over the weekend, but we have 40 degree + temperatures forecast, which can cause people & things to go crazy...!
I'll be out in the field with the VK3UHF crew for the field day. We will be set up ready to go by Friday evening. Hepburn does indeed look good for the weekend, so we'll be looking out for you from Friday evening onwards. Location will be 15km west of Geelong, 210m ASL, QF21CU.

Thanks for the contacts on Saturday evening - a personal best for me on those bands. It was really good to hear so many had the chance to work you and I'm sure we're all very pleased that you made the effort to put that remote station together.
Glad I was able to help out the Field Day stations with some contacts for the log and glad you guys were at the other for me to make the contacts as well. It makes the effort in installing and maintaining it all worth it.
VK3BQ Andrew - I thought I was going to have to listen to my own voice on Youtube. Glad you could only hear the operators on VK3KQ/p.
Many thanks for the contacts on the weekend. It was an absolute delight to speak with you on 2m, and the 70cms contact with Mike (our 6m/70cm operator) were the standout highlights for us.
As relative newcomer to the UHF/VHF world of contesting, this was the first time I'd ever experienced such enhanced propagation first hand, and certainly the first VK6 we've ever contacted during a VHF/UHF contest weekend.
Thanks for all your effort - I run a pair of RRC1258's as well and I fully appreciate the effort you have gone to in order to achieve this terrific station setup.
Thanks again for making our weekend so enjoyable.
Cheers,
