Microwave test day, 8th Nov Southern Adelaide .

As per the discussion on the recent "Show and Tell" night at the SCARC club, a field test day is planned on 8th of November in the pm. Dust off the gear and give it a test before the Field Day. Hopefully the usual southern haunts will be populated. We may be able to distribute the 3.4 Ghz panels from Tim then if they are available.

Just a reminder for the microwave test day on Sunday 8th. Barry's block at Mt Terrible will be active from about 1 pm, I hope to try another site slightly SW of there. Liase via RSC or RAD. (There should be some 3.4Ghz panels going by now !!)

I'll be at grid locator PF94gw45 Perry Barr Rd (195m ASL) from 1pm Sunday

LOS to Salter Springs (95.6 km - reverse bearing 183.3 deg T) and VK5KBJ (28.6km - reverse bearing 2.5deg T)

All bands 50 - 47 GHz (30mW) for tests - 76 GHz mixer only system to 300mm dish if anyone is QRV If we have time I may relocate to the end of the Grange Jetty for 24/47 GHz test (PF95fc83hi)

A Big thanks to all who made it out for the test day. It has proven to be a worthwhile exercise from my point as I had a few "Bugs" to sort out in the transverters. Now ready for next weekend!

Good on'ya Daniel, and thanks to all the other participants, good to see the 47Ghz gear in action. We'll do it again in a while after we allow for the next wave of construction activities.

Was a great day had by all at Barry's block. Myself achieved a new long distance with VK5KK (david) on 47Ghz distance of 29.5kms
