Well I got to say I had a lot of fun today with the exception of the generator problems. Not sure what was causing it to shut down all the time but thanks to Peter VK4EA who had a spare one and got me back in the game. I have to apologize to a couple of contacts when the generator went down. I was in the middle of a QSO with both VK4CL and VK4NBL when I lost power so next time I will take batteries and just use the generator to charge them. That way I don't have to wait for the Thunderbolt GPS to warm up again before I can start calling.
Most of my contacts were on 23cm with only the one contact on 2.4Ghz and nothing on 10Ghz. It was nice to have VK4EA, VK4FSCC & VK4ZMO in attendance and thanks to you guys for helping out during the event.
The rain held off making life much easier and wind was not too bad but all up it was not too hot or too cold.
Looking forward to the next 23 on 23 Plus.

Here's a couple of 2.4GHz QSOs with Doug VK4ADC and Robert VK4LHD - they were not long paths, but brilliant signals.

Roger that Rick !
A really enjoyable morning, weather was good.
3 QSO's on 23cm, and 4CZ/P and 4UH/P on 10GHz.....Heard Doug 4OE/P, but too weak for a QSO......
Missed a few stations on 23, nil heard from VK2........
Cheers, and tnx all for being out and about.

A bit difficult to get a line-of-sight path over that distance in this country; both ends would need to be about 2.5km above sea level (or one end at sea level and the other end at the same height as the top of Mt Everest ).VK4HF wrote:The site is 1400m ASL and about 350 kilometres South of Brisbane line of sight.
