Calling all geeks, nerds, DIYers and radio amateurs: the 2015 Sydney Mini Maker Faire, celebrating the creativity, inventiveness and resourcefulness of the Maker movement, returns to the Powerhouse Museum over the weekend of 15 and 16 August.
This year, the Faire is an event of the inaugural Sydney Science Festival – "11 days of stellar talks, events, exhibitions and fun science activities for all ages", according to the promo website. The Festival runs from 13 to 23 August.

Re: Sydney Mini Maker Faire & Science Week
May I support Roger's announcement by saying that if you are in Sydney and enjoy building "stuff" then this is "must see" event.
I was lucky enough to be amongst a group that represented Amateur Radio at the WIA Stand at the Maker Faire in Melbourne a couple of years ago. It was my first visit to an event like this and I found it both incredibly enjoyable and intriguing. I went around and interviewed a number of people for a video I made (it is somewhere on YouTube I think) and I was quite surprised how many exhibitors all held amateur licences.
Cheers,
