23-on-23: July 23, 2015 - continuing our alternative format

Based on the positive feedback from the last 23-on-23, lets run the same approach for the next one.... July 23, 2015!

Format as follows:

Phone/CW
Start time: 10:00z / 8:00pm AEST / 9:00pm ADST

Stations in BNE and more southern stations beaming north
08:00pm - 08:30pm / 10:00z - 10:30z
QRG: 1,296.100MHz

Stations in BNE and more northern stations beaming south
08:30pm - 09:00pm / 10:30z - 11:00z
QRG: 1,296.100MHz

Digital
Start time: 11:00z / 9:00pm AEST
QRG: 1,296.225MHz (Mode JT65)

Well I'm all for it. I did get rained out last time so I didn't get a chance to preview the new format but willing to try it this time. Bit of a shame because the night started out brilliantly before it got wet.
My only problem is that I can not beam north because of high buildings and tree's only a few meters away blocking my path to the north but considering that there is only 1 station north of me (VK4BG) in Hervey Bay. It would be nice to get him but with only a limited amount of space to play on top of Buderim it is a small price to pay. There is a better spot up higher on Buderim but the problem is I can't get the car right up to it and carrying all the gear and the batteries is not an option. Anyway I will be out one way or the other so just hope the rain stays away this time.

Bump

Just a few days until 23-on-23.

Unfortunately I already have a teleconference in my diary with QRL Paris HQ that evening until after 7pm, so unlikely to make it. But will try! (At that time of night it's only a 45 min commute )

Unfortunately I also will not be around for 23-on 23 this time. Camping trip with family.

Sorry guys but I'm looking like being a non starter tomorrow night. I got a few things I can't get out of so looks like I will have to wait until the August 23 on 23.
If I can get out of it I will but I don't like my chances.

My Paris HQ teleconference for tonight has just been cancelled. So I'll now be there!

With the 'DX' stations of VK2MAX, VK2XN and VK4KAY active most nights I hope that we see some activity from other stations well outside the Brisbane 'catchment' to make it worthwhile.

Anyone aware of any other planned activity?
