It is with great sadness that I report the death of well-known Townsville ham Evelyn Bahr VK4EQ yesterday. She was the first YL to receive a ham license in north QLD, a life member and past president of the Townsville Amateur Radio Club, and the founder of the club's Sunday night net which is still going. Funeral details have yet to be arranged.

Thanks Wayne. I had the pleasure of meeting Evelyn in the early 90's. She was very dedicated to radio and will be sadly missed.
