Looking good so far. Can't track via radio but keeping an eye on habhub. 26000 meters and still rising, hope you make the 40000 meter mark.

Downloaded the software.
How do I get my location to appear on the Habhub tracker?
UPDATE: Ok it appeared now
Why does the image above have a frequency different to the operational frequency?
I am using 434.649 MHz ??

The recovery trip is as interesting as the flight ... APRS VK3YT-7

Re: PS-37 High Altitude Balloon Release 8/3/2015 Deniliquin
Well done to Andy and his team. Hope the recovery was also successful.
Going by my calculations the balloon was at a maximum elevation of 4 degs above horizon at my qth. If I deduct the earth curvature, 1 degree for every 111.2Km it puts the elevation at -1.4 degs.
My year 10 mathematics was not a favorite subject so I may be wrong with my calculations
Looking forward for the next flight

Well Done
But a question, have I missed the info - how did you get the photo of the balloons at height please?

Did you need CASA approval for the Quad Copter? ( as it appears to be near a Airport.)

The photos were taken by another group that came and observed the balloon launch (We had a few interested people came to this launch).
I have no idea what arrangement they had, but will be taking the photos down for now.

Andy
