Well we are finally into a new year and the next 23 on 23 is coming up on Friday the 23rd January.
The start time should be the usual 8pm start with it being a week day and calling from 1296.100 USB and QSY for the contact.
unfortunately I'm only a 50/50 chance of being at this one as it is my Dad's birthday that day but with any luck the party will be moved to the Saturday night freeing up the Friday for me to go portable.
If I can go portable on the night I will be carrying 23cm, 2.4GHz and possibly 3.4Ghz as well and run both SSB and digital mode if the night and participating stations allow for it.

Well it looks like not many people are going to be on 23cm tonight judging by the response here.
Unfortunately I will not be able to make it out portable tonight as it is my Dad's birthday today and I have visitors here now as well. It is also raining here on the coast and is predicted to rain all day and into the night.
I was planning to go portable at Mary Caincross park tonight so will make that my portable location for next month.

...... turned out to be quite accurate.

Thanks to Grant VK2MAX for the JT65 test. Tones were clearly audible every Tx period at this location, but at this stage I'm not set up for operation using digital modes.
