T'was a couple of nights before Christmas
And all through the house
not a creature was stirring...
Except for a few dedicated operators, committed to activating the UHF/uWave bands
The next scheduled 23-on-23 is on Tuesday 23rd December 2014.
Whilst this falls just a couple of days before Christmas, hopefully a few operators can put aside the Christmas cheer and join in for some operating on 23cm.
And as this is still a work night, I recommend that our plan would be to operate along the 'tried and tested' path:
Phone/CW
Start time: 10:00z / 8:00pm AEST / 9:00pm ADST
QRG: 1,296.100MHz QSY for QSO’s then return
Digital
Start time: 10:00z / 8:00pm AEST / 9:00pm ADST
QRG: 1,296.225MHz (Mode JT65)
And if there's enough interest, we'll then QSY to 2.4GHZ
Start time: 11:00z / 9:00pm AEST / 10:00pm ADST
QRG: 2,304.100MHz SSB / 2,304.225MHz JT65
Liaison will be on 23 & Above iChat
For those of us operating from SE VK4, it would be great to see a few more stations to the north and/or south join in.
If you know others that have 23cm capabilities, please extend the invitation to them to participate. It's no secret!
Look forward to hearing as many as possible on air on Tue Dec 23rd.

Re: 23-on-23 - December 23, 2014
I will be going portable from the top of Buderim for the 23 on 23 at my usual spot on the southern side of the hill. I will also take my 2.4Ghz and 10Ghz gear with me for just in case there is enough interest in the other bands. I will be taking my digital gear with me as well so I can use both SSB and digital. If the weather is good I might even go a bit further and drive up to Howells Knob for this months 23 on 23 but will just have to wait and see how the day/night plans out.
Cheers
Robert.

Hi,
I aim to be there. Hopefully all the Xmas shopping will be done by then, or at least the XYL will have had enough of the shops!!!

Tonight's the night!
Re: 23-on-23 - December 23, 2014
I'm all packed and ready to go portable. Just hope it don't rain as it's been overcast here all day. I'm only going as far as my usual spot on top of Buderim tonight and leaving Howells Knob for a night when there are more people on and making it more worth while. I'm carrying 2.4Ghz and 10Ghz as well for just in case there is a bit of interest there tonight.
Cheers

Thanks to those who participated... always tough to draw a crowd just a couple of nights before Christmas.
Worked:
VK4VU RS59+
VK4LHD/P RS53
VK4MJF RS59
VK4ADM RS51 (just workable on QSB peaks)
Heard:
VK4ALH RS41 (at best)
