Fellow hams don't forget to support JOTA weekend coming up, this is a great way of promoting Amateur radio to the youth...
My scouts know both their phonetic Alphabet AND Q code backwards and they sound very professional  Listen out for us on the 18th and 19th

+1 to that.

If you're near your radio on JOTA weekend, try and respond to the scouts and get them more interested in this great hobby of ours.

Update antenna's up and we have now have a FL-2500 to use for the weekend :J . Station will be a IC-706MK2G into a FL-2500 and 2kw tuner feed to a G5RV antenna. 2M/70CM will be a FT-7800 dual band mobile antenna.
Have 80 youth plus attending from our group, senior scouts even know the Q code and they will be using it!!! All of them know the phonetic alphabet as well
Roll on weekend  8)

Emdrc club Melbourne has the club rooms open for a small scout group Saturday afternoon from 1-3pm local time. We were too late getting a scout call sign. But will use clubs call sign. Vk3er. We will be on 40m looking for contacts. Thanks.
