PS-17 PICO balloon APRS test payload

FYI, PS-17 PICO balloon is in the air.
Unplanned trip, test payload with APRS only

Party balloon, 10mW TX, APRS on 145.175Mhz, callsign VK3YT-11

APRS will alternate between WIDE2-1 and NOPATH, with pre-emphasis and without pre-emphasis.
TX also on 144.575Mhz to test traffic congestion.

Unfortunately the speed is stuck at a test value, 100kph.

Looks like the battery is low John, this one has a very small battery to keep the total weight to 7.1g.
Will see if it will show up in ZL on Tues.

Hi all..

Just looking at the flight path on this one....with the smaller battery it is a possibility it could fly over NZ but due to a weak battery(needing daylight to charge up) and being early in the morning it may go undetected...
