300W BLF278 PA 48V (PA0V Nanko)
Re: 300W BLF278 PA 48V (PA0V Nanko)
Hi Gents,
If you are about to solder you FET in place you can send me a picture.
From experience I know that HAMS who mailed me a picture are far more successful than those who won't.
So please do so and I will take the time to mark up your picture.
Here is one example which could be useful for all to see.

Hi Gents,
A new Sequencer, Fet Switch and Protection has been developed by VK4DD.
Everything on one single PCB.
It can also drive Analog meters.
The PCB needs a supply voltage between 15 and 28V but can be used to switch and control 48V PA's
using the BTS660.
More info here
http://www.vk4dd.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=107
If you want you can also connect it to a digital display (GLCD by VK4DD).

Re: 300W BLF278 PA 48V (PA0V Nanko)
Hi Gents,
I would recommend to contact NXP and ask them for their official distributor.
You can go to the website http://www.nxp.com
search for the BLF278 and you can see who has them in stock.
Experience has learned me that Ebay and other distributors are not a good choice.
While others might have had luck and got good fets It is certainly not always the case.
So be aware of that.

Have fun experimenting with my amplifier PCB's.

Re: 300W BLF278 PA 48V (PA0V Nanko)
Hallo Ron,
your online store do not work anymore?
Have anyone to sell one PCB for Amp with BLF278, 48V?
I have buy from Hellenic rf lab one complete modul, but now when I put BIAS voltage over 2.5V then amp goes to oscillations.
I have try everything, but without success. This modul work with FM OK, but I need SSB.
I know that is no place to ask for help, but if anyone know solution or can help I will be very grateful.
Please, if anyone have for sell PCB from this forum, then email me.
Thank you very much in advance.

Ron VK4DD has dissapeared into the ether!.
I purchaced one of the helianic boards a few years ago after being led down by VK4DD and found it unsatable also.
Unfortunetely the item took so long to get to me I was unable to post feedback when it arrived. Ebay refused to help.

Last email from him to me was on 8/5/14.
Seems not interested in assisting or AR.
Have not tried ringing him
A real pity, his products were well designed and put together.
Hope all is OK

Interesting. I subscribed to the 4DD website about 4 months ago, and heard nothing for ages. Then an email turned up about 6-7 weeks or so back approving my membership & containing a password (which works), so someone must be looking at the site occasionally.
Curiouser and curiouser!

Ken

Pity that Ron no longer sells PCBs for amplifiers.
Or at least that someone has the PCB in any format (eg. Eagle, Proteus, PDF, etc..) so that we can make a PCB for the amplifier.
